Feed Our Nation, No mouth shall be left unfed.

Feed our nation is a non profit organization based on feeding the hungry, the rate of poverty is very high where I come from and many people die of starvation because they don’t have money to buy food and me and my team are trying to stop that, one mouth at a time.

Tembea Turi. Tembea Pamoja

As we are constantly told, we, the youth, are the future. No pressure, right?

The number of African countries. Unfortunately, poverty is a common problem in our continent which negatively impacts the education of children who are victims to it.

Guardians of the Marine

At first, our group was discussing which topic we should pick to talk about. We realized how marine life is poor in our community. We knew it deserves more recognition as most people don’t even have an idea about it.

Putting Pressure on Clean Energy

Our team lives in Mumbai, India. This means that we are all too aware of the overcrowding and vast movement of traffic of people which occurs during rush hour. This produces a net negative to society, as more and more people become late for work, and more time is wasted for everyone involved.

Friends to Friends

Poverty and education are two global issues and although in Turkey and in many parts of the world people have developed ways to prevent poverty and provide better education, these two subjects together are very dangerous tools against society itself. Safe in the knowledge that our school has already been successfully involved in social projects that focused on helping students with disadvantaged backgrounds, our project this year is built upon 3 goals: “No Poverty”, “Quality education” and “Eliminating the Inequalities”.

Well of hope | The Journey

Our project is a nonprofit organization which collects donations through the donation boxes that we spread in our school, after collaborating with “The Red Crescent” and getting permission from the school itself. We aim to dig wells in the world’s driest areas. We are also focused on spreading awareness on water issues around the world by giving facts and quotes through our social media accounts and hanging pieces of information around the school.

Recycling into the New Year

Every day, the trash collected in the 230 trash cans at ISB are taken out by Sodexo workers and transported to the school dumpsite. There are two kinds of trash cans that we have: labeled “recycling” and “other”. These trash cans, being relatively small, are overflowing at lunchtimes in student-dense locations, mainly near the school entrances and cafeteria.

Getting into the green scene

People are not amply aware of the environmental corruption that we’re going through and its negative consequences. Thus in our project, we are aiming to raise awareness by fulfilling a gap in our local market. Reusable fabric bags will be sold at symbolic prices in grocery stores.

The Inclusive Cafe

In our CAS project, we aim to raise money to help Saraswati Learning Centre build a cafe which will serve as a workplace for the special needs young adults so they can develop collaboration skills as well developing skills within a work environment.

JCTA

We’ve noticed that in our local community (school), there is a lot of plastic waste (that often doesn’t gets recycled) and leftover food during break time (banana peels, oranges, mandarins and more) because of a student or worker’s negligence. To combat this, we’ve decided to start collecting any plastic containers from around the school, so that we can clean them and use to grow onions.
