The program we have created allows for communication both ways between hearing-impaired people and people who don’t know sign language. It translates Turkish text into Turkish sign language using javascript on our website and it also translates live video feed of Turkish sign language into Turkish words using Python, OpenCV2, and machine learning. We are hoping our app will remove the barrier hearing-impaired people face every time they go into society.
