We, the Hunger Warriors are a team of 7 young students from Kigali, Rwanda with the mission of combating hunger and poverty in our community. To initiate our undertaking we devised the idea of raising funds to purchase staple food for those severely impacted in our community by the pandemic. By conducting a raffle and home clothes day at our school we successfully raised up to 723,000 RWF (+700 USD) and consequently donated several packages of food to our beneficiaries. Our goal hereafter is to further this mission, raise awareness and inspire others to do the same.
