OVERVIEW

A GSL Society is a school or college club established by alumni of our programmes to enable sustainable high quality social action projects led by students, supported by teachers and the wider academic community.

The outcome of GSL Society will be the transformation of a school/college’s culture where student engagement in local and community issues is considered the norm, students effectively measure their impact and build upon previous year’s success, inspiring more and more young people to take part.

We want to establish a growth mind-set to develop a generation of students with “character virtues and skills that are necessary for engaged and responsible citizens”, creating a more sustainable future.

You will be supported by a framework which ensures the projects continue beyond any one student leader

Register a new GSL Society

To launch a society, you must first register with Future Foundations and attend one of our programmes (GSL World Summit or Catalyst). We ask students to agree who will be your President and Lead Teacher. Once you have established these positions, you can officially register your GSL Society.

Once we receive your registration we will create an online space for your Society and provide you with further resources and support.
We ask all members of a GSL Society to click here to register.

Join an existing GSL Society

You can join your school or college’s GSL Society and register as an official Member.

If you have been allocated a specific role within your GSL Society, you can record this are part of your Member registration.

All membership information will be shared with your GSL Society’s President and Lead Teacher.

Catalysts are our three- or five-day semi-residential programmes held in schools and colleges around the world.  Open to the public or specifically for your community: it’s entirely up to you.

GSL Inspire gives young people a voice and a platform to present about issues and projects they care about.

During our programmes, our participants are invited to prepare a short presentation to share with fellow delegates.

We invite our partner schools to hold GSL Inspire events within their schools.
