Date: Monday 20 March 2017, Time: 09:30 – 15:00
Venue: Wellington College, Berks, RG45 7PU
The second Global Social Leaders (GSL) Launchpad is taking place in March at Wellington College. This is a chance for young people to engage with ways that they can change the world for the better. There will be seminars and activities on social action and leadership to enable those who attend to leave with the tools they need to set up a meaningful social action project in their schools or local communities, and to lead others to do so.
This GSL Launchpad introduces the participants to an international family of Global Social Leaders who live in 20 different countries around the world and is suitable for all ages from 11-18yrs with different streams for the various age groups.
The day is planned for 11 to 18 year old students interested in taking their leadership skills to the next level and will challenge participants to stretch their skills through various leadership focused activities including designing a social action project to make a powerful change in their school/community and then present their project in the ‘Dragon’s Den’. A mainly practical day where students will have the opportunity to present their ideas to others of their own age.
