A student-led effort towards building a better tomorrow, project ‘Joybox’, is an initiative that involves making quality food available to vulnerable populations, while simultaneously improving the strength of local production systems. To fructify this idea, we gathered volunteers to form an ever-lasting community of helpers, and distributed 1450+ freshly prepared meals over a period of 10 weeks. Additionally, we supported cancer patients and the visually impaired with a supply of ration. Furthermore, to expand our reach we partnered with a non-profit organisation to successfully establish a community fridge and contribute towards the UN’s Sustainable development goal of ‘Zero Hunger by 2030’.
