Cambridge Young Volunteers Shaping the Future is made up eight Year 7 girls from Cambridge International School (Khartoum – Sudan), who are all driven by the passion to try something NEW – not just for ourselves, but for other young people in our community regardless of any kind of background.

The Innovation Bank

Our goal in the Time Bank project is to spread the passion, wisdom and, expertise of all individuals in the school community. Also to help in improving and building our schools. Time banking was designed by Edgar Cahn to encourage the types of giving and receiving that will help build our school community.

DAY AFTER FUTURE

To begin with, our purpose of this project which looks like a long voyage mission is to change the way the migrants and refugees feel. We want to open for them our Country and a place for them in our heart , though our political situation isn't suitable cause there is protesting in our Country nowadays.

Philippines Service Learning

Our PSL group's main objective is to support students in Labo, Camarines Norte, Philippines, especially students from Aniceta De Lara Pimental High School, Labo Science & Technology High School, and Labo National High School. The supervising teacher of this project is Ms.Rosanna, who inspired the students and started the PSL since she grew up in Labo.

Art 4SB!

We have identified that in our local community, there is a lack of exposure to art for young children. As people who grew up in a culture where an interest in art is not often encouraged, we feel as if it is our task to encourage and nurture the next generation's interests in the arts. Our plan is to provide weekly lessons to these children and during these lessons we will teach them a variety of artistic skills

Accident brings tears, safety brings cheers

Our project focuses on health and safety well being. Community safety is a concept that is concerned with achieving a positive state of well-being among people within social and physical environments. Within years of existence, i haven’t encountered such happening ,but what brought me to this particular cause is that nowadays safety is becoming such a concern.

Miraculous Unwasters

In this project we had two main objectives: find out information about how much food was wasted at out school and try to reduce that amount. For this we weighed the trash bags that maintenance left outside. These were full of food that students had wasted. There were 67.5 kg of waste in one lunch.

Feed Our Nation, No mouth shall be left unfed.

Feed our nation is a non profit organization based on feeding the hungry, the rate of poverty is very high where I come from and many people die of starvation because they don’t have money to buy food and me and my team are trying to stop that, one mouth at a time.

As we are constantly told, we, the youth, are the future. No pressure, right? The number of African countries. Unfortunately, poverty is a common problem in our continent which negatively impacts the education of children who are victims to it.

Guardians of the Marine

At first, our group was discussing which topic we should pick to talk about. We realized how marine life is poor in our community. We knew it deserves more recognition as most people don't even have an idea about it.

Putting Pressure on Clean Energy

Our team lives in Mumbai, India. This means that we are all too aware of the overcrowding and vast movement of traffic of people which occurs during rush hour. This produces a net negative to society, as more and more people become late for work, and more time is wasted for everyone involved.
