DAY AFTER FUTURE

We are delighted to share a blog written by Fawzia Mohammed Rashad, a student at Cambridge International Schools who is part of a team delivering a Global Goals project for the 2018-19 Global Goals Competition.

Their project is among over 620 social action projects currently running as part of the GSL movement and we are excited to be supporting them to design and lead positive social change in their community.

I met the best group ever and the best teacher and will always support the GSL projects and the FUTURE.

Project Overview

To begin with, our purpose of this project which looks like a long voyage mission is to change the way the migrants and refugees feel. We want to open for them our Country and a place for them in our heart , though our political situation isn’t suitable cause there is protesting in our Country nowadays. If you flipped the coin in the other side, you will discover that we want to encourage them to have a career in the future even being a ‘ HOUSE KEEPER ‘ worth a lot to them.

Secondly , we did organized a ‘ CAREER DAY ‘ for the diabetic children in the Sudanese Diabetes Childhood Center. By doing this, what we wanted to be approved is that we wanted to encourage the to have a reliable job in the future which is by this: it will increase their marks in studying and increase the percentage of job Economic and Literacy in Sudan.

Our Journey

I have discovered a new hidden skill in me which is having that feeling of FREEDOM and NOT SHY at all. In addition, I explored through the diabetes children without making fun of them, instead, I played with them and shared with them some secrets. Even though, I was worried about the team work but it turned out that I have the best collaborative and co-operative TEAM in the world. We always agree on the same decisions and never argue non-sense words. To conclude with, my biggest challenge is working with the refugees and helping them cause I deeply feel sorry for them and for what has happened to their foreign Country. So, I think that I will overcome it by telling them that our Country is yours and the word BOARDER is NOTHING.

The Next Chapter

My age is 12 and I will turn 13 May 2019. And so, I would really like to be involved in any project which contain an issue about the future. My call is to always advice the people and community partners to focus on the future, and leave the past for it’s passed generation and the present for the present cause we are the WARRIORS OF THE FUTURE. Even the word FUTURE is so powerful that it can defeat the past and destroy the present.

A massage to all the parents, adults, babies, teenagers, grans and all of you and exactly for the person who is reading this message, WE ARE THE WARRIORS OF THE FUTURE AND BELIEVE ME, if you delay the events for another, you will become a looser and lastly, live for life and with PASSION.

The 2018-19 GSL Global Goals Competition is now open and runs until June 2019. If you belong to one of the 700+ teams of students currently delivering a social action project as part of the competition we would love to hear from you and feature your blog and project photos on our website to inspire others.
