Global water use over the last century has been growing at twice the rate of population increase. Approximately 1.2 billion people live in areas of water scarcity, where water supply simply doesn’t meet the demand. This is a pressing challenge for socioeconomic and human development.
However, a lot of water is being wasted due to mismanagement, and this is where we come in. Aqualibrium believes catalyzing rainwater’s potential to meet rainwater needs is one of the most effective solutions. We have taken a two-pronged approach to fighting water insecurity through rainwater harvesting, initiating ‘advocacy & research’ initiatives and a ‘direct action’ project that involved the construction of a percolation well.
