Our aim was to reduce the landfill requirements in line with UN goals. We launched “A WALK TOWARDS ZERO WASTE” to handle different kinds of wastes. The first branch used an automated machine called smart cara to convert food waste to manure. The second branch dealt with recycling paper and e-waste. We successfully ensured the participation of students, parents and local community.

We conducted e-waste recycling in collaboration with Enviroserve and Emirates Environment group and amassed 802.5kgs, saving a substantial quantity of hazardous chemicals from leaching into the planet. In collaboration with EEG, we have collected 15,325 kgs of paper.
