IMPACT OF PROJECT

Our project is called PSIDS which is a simple device that is going to help in preventing sudden infant death syndrome. The device helps control SIDS factors and help preventing the SIDS by detecting the motion and the temperature of the baby which are the physical factors of the SIDS and when the sensor detect a high or abnormal motion or temperature it release a bleep sound which warns the parents.

Our device/prototype consists of 2 motion sensors and a temperature sensor along with a small fan, and all the sensors are connected to a buzzer. These motion sensors are attached to a firm mattress that can be placed inside the baby crib where the baby can sleep on safely without any harm. These sensors and buzzers will help in controlling SIDS risk factors and allow the parents to identify the problem with the infant easily.
