Make Meals Matter

We are delighted to share a blog written by student Maahika from D Y Patil International School, who is part of a team delivering a Global Goals project for the 2020-21 GSL Global Goals Competition.

Their project is among over 957 social action projects currently running as part of the GSL movement and we are excited to be supporting them to design and lead positive social change in their community.

So far, my experience in the GSL competition has been a great learning curve and I got a better understanding all aspects of teamwork.

Project Summary

Make Meals Matter is our contribution towards eradicating zero hunger. Make Meals Matter also known as “MMM” is a movement that intends to feed the underprivileged.

Our vision is to fulfill one basic necessity of life – food. We, the hunger helpers, plan to annihilate zero hunger by purchasing healthy foods with the help of fundraising, to hand over to people who are unable to cope with the rapidly increasing economy.

Zero Hunger

Zero Hunger is one of the 17 Sustainable Goals. It is a goal dedicated to eliminating malnutrition and the scarcity of food. Zero hunger is a prominent goal that creates a positive impact on economies, health, education, equality social development etc and gradually obliterates the negative and unfair situations that occur.

Our Next Chapter

Our strong will to help people, led us to form Make Meals Matter. The worldwide abolishment of hunger would be a great achievement to mankind. Our concern for the citizen’s health will be satisfied by ensuring they eat nourishing meals. We strongly believe that it is never too early or late to make small changes in the system. Make Meals Matter is a passionate and inspiring proposal for change.

The 2020-21 GSL Global Goals Competition is now open and runs until June 2021. If you belong to one of the 500+ teams of students currently delivering a social action project as part of the competition we would love to hear from you and feature your blog and project photos on our website to inspire others.
