Inspiring Others: Going Global!

We are delighted to share a blog written by student Tresen Ernemann from Sotogrande International School, who is part of a team delivering a Global Goals project for the 2019-20 Global Goals Competition.

Their project is among over 957 social action projects currently running as part of the GSL movement and we are excited to be supporting them to design and lead positive social change in their community.

Launching our Global Clean Plate Challenge

Project Overview

Hello Global Social Leaders! The Sotogrande International School, (SIS), a member of the Inspired family of schools, Global Citizenship Programme team has been hard at work since our last update and we are proud to announce that we have launched our Clean Plate Challenge… internationally!

Our Journey

The Clean Plate challenge is a worldwide initiative to help reduce food waste in schools. By having students participate, they are asked to “clean their plate” and eat all the food they have been served with the intention of creating zero waste. We hope to grow this challenge as much as possible in order to get students globally informed on the impact of food waste and how easy it can be to make a difference as a community by working as an individual.

The Next Chapter

Here at SIS we encourage all schools (and whoever else wants to participate!) around the world to partake in our Clean Plate Challenge. Join a community of thousands of students around the globe from the British school of Bahrain; KC International School, Jammu, India; St. Patrick´s School, Madrid; The International School of Monza Italy; to Blue Valley School in Costa Rica and help us put an end to food waste!

Take a photograph of your clean plate and tag our school instagram accounts:

@thekindredprojectsis

@globalsocialleaders

and use this hashtag:

#gslgoals

Please feel free to add your school hashtag too!
We look forward to joining our global movement!
