Changing The Face Of Dance Aim – to reduce inequalities in dance and raise awareness of health benefits of dance: SDG 10 and 3. We completed pre-surveys to find out information about our community . This then lead us to create workshops to get more students into dance and to share information on health benefits of dance. We used information from the survey to help us design workshops students would be confident to attend.

We also started a website of resources for teachers. The Royal New Zealand Ballet held education workshops at our school and we were able to promote a workshop for students new to dance. We had team members volunteer at a junior dance competition. After each workshop we collected data on confidence levels and how students felt about taking part.
