The Appreciating Diversity Group this year focuses on the issues concerning contemporary refugees. The project aims to educate, spread awareness and, most importantly, act on the burdens refugees face so that collectively communities can harness various crises. Before the Russo-Ukrainian War, the Appreciating Diversity Group opted to evaluate the struggles of refugees around Europe. Nevertheless, after the conflict began in February, the project experienced a major shift in the topic it concerns. The members joined the movement of Polish solidarity and showcased major support for the refugees coming to Poland by participating in educational activities with Ukrainian adolescents at their high school, donating clothes, sanitation products, and money and creating a podcast which guides through various topics concerning refugees.
