UK student Scholarships & Bursary

We are proud to share, for Summer 2019, we are offering a limited number of scholarship and bursary places for UK and Irish nationals to participate in our life-changing summer programmes open to young people from around the world.  We want to ensure our programmes are inclusive and a global mix attends with British students from every background able to attend.

  • Our scholarship is a 20 % discount on the fees for attending the course(s) you apply to attend (open to students attending MIST schools, and both fee paying and state funded schools in the UK)
  • For students attended a state school in the UK, we also offer a limited number of 30 % discounted bursary places (please note in your application if you attend a state funded school)
  • We are also offering students the opportunity to attend any of our courses on a non-residential basis to further reduce the cost for participation for students living in the UK

The deadline for a scholarship application is Monday 7th May 2019.

If appropriate, following your application we will invite you to an interview, if we need further information regarding your application.

At GSL we get to meet lifelong friends. Everyone is like minded so it is a very safe environment to be open and truly be yourself.

I learnt to be authentic. Be true to yourself and your values and that young individuals can make a difference.

I feel equipped with the tools I need to deliver a social action project.

I would recommend GSL to a friend
I am excited and energised about my future
Will you get involved in a social action project in your community
I feel more confident than I did at the beginning of the programme

This is a prestigious annual 12-day residential programme at Wellington College in the UK.  Find out more about how you can reserve your place on the programme you’ll never forget.

Catalysts are our three- or five-day semi-residential programmes held in schools and colleges around the world.  Open to the public or specifically for your community: it’s entirely up to you.

GSL Inspire gives young people a voice and a platform to present about issues and projects they care about.

During our programmes, our participants are invited to prepare a short presentation to share with fellow delegates.

We invite our partner schools to hold GSL Inspire events within their schools.
