Project Description:

Access to English-language books in Ukraine is limited and education has been disrupted by war. Svitlo Reads by Svitlo School aims to create an English-language book library so that students across Ukraine can enjoy reading and learning. The project set up library booths in bomb shelters across major cities and developed a platform for distributing books online and through local OLX resellers. With over 200 books donated, 40 sold, and 2,000 more collected through international partnerships, the team fosters literacy, emotional well-being, and community connection. Webinars, giveaways, and outreach continue to expand its reach during ongoing conflict.
