GSL Summer Catalyst @Home |

Teaspoons of Change

Across July and August 2020 we delivered the GSL Summer Catalyst @Home – a virtual programme for students in the UK funded by Innovate UK. As part of the programme we partnered with 15 amazing organisations that all set an independent social challenge for the participating young people.

One of these organisations was Teaspoons of Change. Teaspoons of Change aims to activate and align business, education and government with the United Nations’ Global Goals, and focuses on the small but significant ideas, attitudes and actions that people can make to have a positive impact on people and the planet (teaspoons of change!)

As experts in Global Goals awareness and engagement, Teaspoons of Change activate and integrate the Global Goals for Sustainable Development into the vision, purpose, culture and daily practices of individuals, businesses, education institutes and governments, making the Goals fun, accessible and attainable.

THE CHALLENGE

Teaspoons of Change challenged participants to play Global Goals Bingo and create teaspoons of change related to each of the 17 Global Goals.

A Global Goals Bingo worksheet was provided for students to use, so that once they had completed their action/teaspoon, they could cross of the Global Goal that it related to.

A total of 21 young people committed to, and completed, this challenge, and we wanted to showcase some of their excellent work below.

It was fabulous to be a part of the Future Foundation Summer Challenge last year! It was inspiring to read about the variety and creative Teaspoons of Change young people came up with, and delivered on, in their community 🙂 This is what it is all about → small actions X lots of people = BIG change! I know through concepts like Teaspoons of Change, organisations like the Future Foundation and all of us today thinking, caring and doing more we can have a positive impact on people and the planet! Wishing bests, d’Arcy 🙂
