Project Description:
Observing period poverty, a lack of menstrual product access, and a desire for environmental education in our local community, we formed Bleed Green to take action. Our work began with just an environmental focus, creating educational videos and a program for our town and elementary school on recycling. Then, our initiative expanded to also encompass menstrual equity. Partnering with Aunt Flow and (914) Cares, we volunteered to pack period kits and created plans to roll out sustainable menstrual products within our school system. Together, let’s continue to practice sustainability, normalize periods, and increase our self-confidence by bleeding green!
