We are excited to announce Global Social Leaders (GSL) membership ambassador for India and UAE, Marie Ramos 

Marie was a Lead Teacher for GSL at GEMS Our Own Dubai and we are delighted she will now join us in this new role, and share her incredible experience leading students through GSL, with schools and teachers.

About Marie: 

Marie Ramos has been the Head of R&D, Innovation, Design & Entrepreneurship with GEMS Education for over 10 years. She received The Mariamma Varkey Finalist Award for Inspirational and Outstanding Teaching.

She was the GEMS Global Schools Ambassador (United Nations SDG) and SCOPE Contingent Leader.  She was an international Mentor for Convergence.tech, Climate4climateAction Global Teaching Insights – OECD 2021, where she has guided teachers on how to ‘Empower students for Climate Action’. Her best works can be seen on her project – The Global Game Changers – Be an Agent of Change & The Midas Touch.

Under her guidance, her School achieved several accolades like Singularity University USA – Global Innovation Challenge Award, the GEW School of the Year Award, GIC Wins – 8 years in a row, DIDI Design Competition with 5 top Awards, GSL Global Social Leaders Awards and many more…

She has her own YouTube channel, The Outreach Mentor.  This aims to support, empower and connect students by providing them access and opportunities to advance their career choices, action success and achieve their goals.

Marie has been a Creative Advertising & Marketing professional prior to her role at school.

As an educator who has led GSL project teams, she understands what is needed to support young people to thrive.
