Project Description:

Team Saharaa from Neerja Modi School is transforming unsafe slum conditions by connecting residents to government housing schemes creating physically and emotionally safer spaces for all. Through a unique mix of community-based interventions and evidence-driven policy advocacy, Saharaa bridges the gap between underserved communities and the systems meant to support them. With over 2,000 lives impacted, their work empowers marginalised communities, improves sanitation, and addresses domestic violence. They published and distributed Damini, a bilingual domestic violence resource, to over 1,600 readers across India.
