The Challenge
Following our Ask the Expert: Eco Edd — How to Turn Your School Green session (click here to watch), every GSL Team is invited to submit a Green School Pledge.
This pledge is your Team’s commitment to take one clear, achievable action in early 2026 to help make your school more sustainable.
Your Pledge must be achievable, realistic and based on an issue you have noticed in your own school. It will be led by students and can be part of your GSL project or it can be separate.
Eco Edd will personally read all submissions.
A selection of pledges will be shared across the GSL community to inspire others.
One pledge will receive £100 micro-finance to help bring the idea to life, and one school will receive a signed copy of 100 Ideas for Primary Teachers: Greener School.
Please use the Submission Form to submit your Team’s pledge by 18th January 2026. Don’t wait to get started!
