We are the, Green Lenders of Lyceum International School, Panadura, Sri Lanka. We having been lending a helping hand to aid in preventing poverty, zero hunger and land degradation. We have been fighting for women empowerment and we have been successful in giving employment to people in a small scale, allowing them to gain an income. We have been introducing and promoting the home gardening concept among our friends and families and we have been raising awareness about Jackfruit based food products to provide a means of income. We organized a tree plantation campaign and planted 50 Kumbuk and Mee trees in total, along the banks of 2 lakes. Kumbuk trees help purify water, thus we have been able to create a natural method of water purification.
