Project Wangyai sought to build connections with our local community, the Wangyai. Brighton Collège Bangkok was built on land that the Wangyai have lived on for hundreds of years and we felt it was important to establish a sustainable partnership with our neighbors to ensure a more sustainable future for all. Instead of choosing a specific focus of support, we asked the Wangyai how they best felt we could support the communities needs and this saw us focus on supporting the medical needs of the elderly and the education and sanitation needs of pupils in the local school, amongst other areas. Moving forwards, we look to develop our work to include climate work focused on life below the water.
