We are excited to announce Global Social Leaders (GSL) membership ambassador for Antigua and Barbuda, Cheryll Rogers.
About Cheryll:
Cheryll is a qualified psychotherapist and coach with a speciality in helping young women from underprivileged, abusive and complex backgrounds. This has led her into a number of charitable activities to uplift opportunity for all women and girls.
She chairs a voluntary board at Barnardo’s in the UK tasked to create aspirational and safe independent homes for young people brought up in the care system.
Cheryll has a home in Antigua (West Indies) where she supports the Language Arts Ministry within the Education Department of the Government. She personally has two programmes to increase literacy levels in the country. The first sees Kindergarten, Year 1 and year 2 teachers taught to teach reading using the Jolly Phonics system, and the second encouraging children to write with an annual competition.
She has recently been appointed CEO of Fairbreak Global (a cricket organisation representing the worlds top 90 female players) bringing equality in pay and conditions, educational opportunities and broader access to health and wellbeing for women and girls around the world.
