INTRODUCTION TO THE LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME

Global Social Leaders (GSL) Catalyst is a unique 5-day intensive leadership course, designed to develop your leadership skills and your understanding of global issues enabling you to be a leader in your life and society.  In spring 2019 The American International School of Jeddah and Future Foundations are running a GSL Catalyst programme hosted at The American International School of Jeddah, Abdullah Ibn Sidan، Al-Zahra’a, Jeddah 23522 for student groups aged 14-16 years old.

GSL Catalyst is a transformational leadership experience and sustainable development programme developed by Future Foundations and the Wellington Leadership Institute that brings together young people who are driven to make social change on a global scale.  It is the introductory programme to our longer globally mixed programmes.

The programme develops each participant’s personal understanding of different leadership styles, and how to show leadership for oneself, in school, and in the community.

Participants will develop their understanding of the global challenges we face and how, through partnership and innovation, we can solve them. They will be taken through real life cases to demonstrate great project management and how to create their own impactful projects to take on after the programme ends.

AFTER THE PROGRAMME

STUDENTS ARE INVITED TO ENTER A GLOBAL COMPETITION

After the programme, participants will be challenged to start their own social action projects working in teams of 3 to 7 students which will make tangible changes within school and the community (local, national or global).

They will be invited to enter the GSL Global Goals Competition.
