Wellington & Eagle House | GSL Innovation Challenge 2020 | A summer of service

The impact of Covid-19 on our daily lives, is unprecedented, and while we need to stay home, and stay safe, we want to enable our community to be of service, to society, and identify the ways we can make a real difference, and celebrate those within our community who are taking action.

The Wellington Leadership and Coaching Institute and Future Foundations are proud to share, that we will be providing the Wellington community (Wellington College and Eagle House) with support to enable you to either start or take your existing service projects to the next level.

Before, we talk about what you can do…lets take a moment to reflect on the amazing people and projects that have organically been created by the Wellington community already and by individuals within communities, who have inspired our nation.

Inspiration from our Wellington College & Eagle House community

Wellington community creates Scrubs for NHS workers

The Wellington community have created scrubs for NHS workers. They have helped Scrubs Glorous Scrubs by sourcing fabrics and put their sewing hobby to good use. They wanted to do more, so they also posted leaflets through local doors to get their neighbours involved and to increase the number they could produce.

The scrubs have been sewn and donated to Frimley Park Hospital doctors and nurses, including hats made from patterns including race cars and hearts! This project has had an incredible Wellington community involved including Evie Campbell, Nancy Lindo, Mel Dickin, Annie Tutus and Antonia Gathy and many others.

Baking and donating water bottles to NHS workers
  • Students have collaborated with the Wellington College shop to donate over 400 school ‘wide neck’ water bottles donated to NHS workers at Frimley Park hospital and Basingstoke Hospital
  • Eagle House students have baked for NHS workers
